- Lemon zest from 2 medium lemons (1 tablespoon)
- 2 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely minced
- 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour (stir, spoon & level method)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup (4 ounce) cold butter
