Pine Nut Tarelette
Ingredients
For the tart shells
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 stick butter, cut in small pieces
- 1 egg yolk
For the pine nut and honey filling
- 1 cup pine nuts
- 2 eggs
- 5 tablespoon butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup acacia honey
- 1/2 vanilla bean, split open in the middle and seeds scooped out with a pairing knife or 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
