Basil Sage Pesto
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cup basil leaves, washed and thoroughly dried
- 1/2 cup sage leaves, washed and thoroughly dried
- 5 large garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
- 1/2 – 3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 – 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesean or other hard cheese, optional
