Asiago and Black Pepper Rolls
Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups unbleached bread flour
- 1 teaspoon fine salt or 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 1/2 tablespoons white or brown sugar
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water, about 95° F
- 1/2 cup lukewarm buttermilk or milk
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons melted, unsalted butter or vegetable oil
Filling
- 1 1/2 cups shredded, Asiago cheese
- Freshly ground black pepper
