Dutch Baby with Caramelized Vanilla Bean Pears
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2/3 cup of milk, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup of whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 vanilla bean pod
- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 stick and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 1 large pear, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices
- Powdered sugar, for serving
