Rose and Basil-Dark Chocolate Macarons
Ingredients
Rose Macaron
- 30 grams sugar
- 200 grams powdered sugar
- 110 grams blanched and slivered almonds
- 2 tablespoons dried and crushed rose petals
- 1 teaspoon dry pink food coloring, optional
- 90 grams egg whites, at least two days old
- More crushed rose petals, optional
Quick Dark Chocolate-Basil Buttercream
- 1/2 stick butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 1/2 ounces dark chocolate
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Handful of fresh basil leaves
