Raspberry Rose “Hidden” Chocolate Tart
Ingredients
For pastry crust
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 7 tablespoons butter, cold and cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 3-4 tablespoons dried rose buds
- 1 tablespoon rose extract
- 1-2 tablespoons water
For “hidden” chocolate ganache filling
- 3 ounces bittersweet or dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 2 1/2 ounces heavy cream
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 tablespoon Godiva chocolate liquor, optional
For pastry cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
