Dulce de Leche Stacked Cake

Ingredients

For Roll Cake

  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk, warmed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon rum
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Assembly

  • 1 can of Dulce de leche (about 2 cups)
  • Rum (about 1/4 cup)
  • Confectioner’s sugar
  • 1 cup of whipped cream (recipe to follow)
  • 3 ounces dark chocolate (60% to 62% cacao) Chopped and melted
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
